Students attend AIB to pursue a career in cosmetology, barbering, nail technology, massage therapy and facial therapy. AIB is expanding its Skin Care program and needs to add a facial specialist educator to its staff. This person will be responsible for educating and supervising enrolled students as to both the theory behind and practical applications of all aspects of skin care, including facials, waxing, skin care analysis, microdermabrasion, skin peels, eyebrow/lash tinting, LED Light Therapy, make-up application, diseases and disorders of the skin, sanitation/disinfection, professionalism, resume creation and marketing/social media. That educator is provided with all the tools necessary to teach the curriculum required for students to graduate and become certified as a facial specialist by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation ("DBPR"). The successful applicant must be registered or licensed as a Facial Specialist, a Full Specialist or Cosmetologist by the Florida DBPR and have a minimum of two years full time experience (or the part time equivalent) in that profession. Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required. The successful candidate must be enthusiastic about the cosmetology profession and motivated to teach others about that profession. Both full-time and part-time, day and evening opportunities are available. Skin Care classes are taught Monday through Friday. Salary will be commensurate with experience, with a starting range of $18 to $20 per hour.
