Nail Technician Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and passionate Nail Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of nail care and design, providing exceptional services to our clients while ensuring a clean and welcoming environment. As a Nail Technician, you will be responsible for performing various nail treatments, maintaining hygiene standards, and delivering excellent customer service. Duties Perform manicures, pedicures, and nail enhancements with precision and creativity. Sanitate tools and workstations to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. Consult with clients to understand their preferences and recommend suitable nail services. Stay updated on the latest trends in nail art and techniques to provide innovative services. Promote additional services such as eyelash extensions, body waxing, or esthetic laser treatments when appropriate. Assist in retail sales by recommending products that enhance client experiences. Upsell services to maximize client satisfaction and salon revenue. Maintain accurate records of client services and preferences for future visits. Skills Proficiency in various nail techniques including acrylics, gels, and nail art design. Knowledge of sanitation practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Familiarity with retail math to assist in product sales and inventory management. Experience or certification in body waxing, eyelash extensions, or esthetic laser treatments is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients. Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining a positive client experience. Understanding of color theory as it relates to nail polish selection and application. Additional skills in hair extensions or barbering are beneficial but not required.
