Overview We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Manicurist and Nail Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for beauty and wellness, with a strong background in nail care, esthetic treatments, and customer service. This role involves delivering exceptional manicure and pedicure services while maintaining the highest standards of sanitation and safety. Duties Perform a variety of nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, and acrylic or nail extension applications. Apply color theory principles to recommend suitable nail polish shades and designs tailored to client preferences. Conduct nail care treatments such as cuticle grooming, buffing, and polishing to ensure healthy nails. Execute advanced procedures like nail extensions, gel application, and acrylic nail application with precision. Maintain strict adherence to salon safety protocols, sanitation standards, and disinfection procedures to ensure client safety. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, provide personalized recommendations, and enhance customer satisfaction. Promote retail sales of nail care products and esthetic treatments through upselling techniques while maintaining excellent client relationships. Skills Extensive knowledge of nail theory, nail extensions, gel manicures, and acrylic application techniques. Proficiency in performing pedicures, body waxing, hair threading, and other esthetic treatments such as dermabrasion or laser therapy is a plus. Strong understanding of salon safety protocols, sanitation practices, and disinfection procedures. Excellent customer service skills combined with effective communication abilities to build rapport with clients. Experience working in the beauty industry with a focus on nail care and esthetic services. Ability to upsell retail products confidently while providing professional advice on nail health and maintenance. Familiarity with retail math for sales transactions and inventory management related to beauty products.
