Job Description
The Horse Shoe Farm is an 85-acre boutique farm resort in the heart of the Blue Ridge mountains. This spectacular property is home to The Stable Spa, a unique spa experience set in the luxury of an eclectic converted horse barn. The Stable Spa offers signature and specialty massages, wellness & transformative therapies, body and foot treatments and classes, workshops and retreats. The Horse Shoe Farm is a family-run business looking for the right person to work in The Stable Spa and assist in our Spa Wellness program. In order to provide intentional hospitality and stewardship to our guests, our team, and our land, we employ these core values: Presence Heart Gratitude Grace Grit The ideal candidate is a hospitality-driven, detail-oriented, passionate person who has the ability to multitask. Need to be able to work in a fast paced resort environment and able to handle a variety of people and large groups. As we are growing and becoming busier we look for staff that align with our values. This is a Week Day & Weekend position with avg of 16 to 28 hrs per week. Compensation includes an hourly rate plus commission on retail sales. Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Must be tech-savvy or possess a willingness to learn how to use our systems. We use a number of systems from Vagaro (spa), Slack (messaging app), Gmail (email), Grasshopper (phone system), Notion (information database), Resnexus (lodging), and OpenTable (restaurant) Opening Spa - turning on lights, computer, getting tea ready, light vacuuming/cleaning Closing Spa - turning off lights, computer, treatment rooms, empty garbages etc. Booking Spa and Day Pass treatments via email, phone, and in-person Interact with guests and answering any questions they may have during their stay Welcoming and checking-in and checking-out guests for their treatments Able to handle a variety of people and large groups Returning phone calls and emails for spa treatments Booking large groups Washing/Folding Laundry Washing dishes (spa items) Assessing maintenance items and bringing a solution-oriented mindset to items that may break or need replacement Inventorying of retail Answering guest requests, inquiries and complaints in a prompt, positive and solution-oriented manner Able to communicate between multiple departments across the resort Pool check - towels, cleanliness etc.
