This position ensures that finished products are properly packed, labeled, and prepared for warehousing or shipment while maintaining quality, safety, and production efficiency. A typical day involves coordinating with line operators, maintaining packing stations, performing quality checks, and assisting with continuous production flow. How you will impact Smurfit Westrock Prepare corrugated cases according to machine schedules to support uninterrupted production. Follow instructions from line operators, leads, supervisors, and managers to ensure safe and efficient operations. Feed cartons into machines while maintaining proper stack height and carton orientation. Maintain packing stations with sufficient pallets, sealing tape, and materials. Change pallets and loads as required to maintain production flow. Perform quality inspections to ensure finished product meets customer expectations. Support operators in maintaining production efficiency and product quality. Apply case labels accurately and securely seal filled cases. Stack pallets uniformly to required height and stability standards. Prepare and complete load tickets for pallet counts. Participate in line clearance procedures following each production run. Operate manual pallet jacks to move materials safely. Complete additional duties as assigned to support team and operational goals. What you need to succeed Ability to stand and remain on feet for up to 12 hours per workday. Ability to read, write, and follow instructions and correspondence. Ability to use hands for simple and power grasping, pushing, and pulling. Ability to operate a manual pallet jack to move pallets of materials. Attention to detail related to printing, cutting, and gluer quality issues. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, and manuals. Successful completion of required color-vision testing. Ability to maintain reliable attendance. Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Vision Requirements This position requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, eye-hand coordination, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment & Safety Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times while in production areas and will be provided. Required PPE includes earplugs, steel-toed shoes, and safety glasses. Additional PPE may be required depending on job function and assignment.
