About the Position The Head Spa Specialist is responsible for delivering Rare Luxe Sanctuary's signature Head Spa services to clients who book directly through our website. Our services include professional shampooing, conditioning, scalp treatments, steam treatments, head and neck massage, and a professional blow-dry. Our specialized Head Spa bed also provides mechanical compression for the arms and legs, as well as back massage features. While the equipment enhances the experience, the Specialist is responsible for providing the personalized, hands-on head and neck massage that makes the service feel truly luxurious. Clients may also choose to add neatly executed cornrows/scalp braiding as an additional service, so the ability to braid cleanly and professionally to the scalp is required. This is a hands-on service position and does not initially include management responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional services, maintaining the guest experience, supporting daily salon operations, creating social media content, and representing the Rare Luxe Sanctuary brand.
Head Spa Services Responsibilities include:
Perform all Rare Luxe Sanctuary Head Spa services according to established service protocols. Professionally shampoo and condition clients. Perform scalp cleansing, treatments, hydration services, and steam treatments. Provide relaxing and professional head and neck massage. Safely and confidently operate Head Spa equipment. Properly utilize the Head Spa bed's compression and massage features. Perform a professional blow-dry following each applicable Head Spa service. Perform neat, clean cornrows/scalp braiding for clients who purchase the applicable add-on service. Assess hair and scalp needs within the scope of your training and licensure. Maintain client comfort throughout the service. Communicate appropriately regarding water temperature, product application, massage pressure, and overall comfort. Provide appropriate at-home scalp and hair-care recommendations. Maintain accurate client service notes when required. Follow all Rare Luxe Sanctuary service protocols consistently. Follow all Rare Luxe Sanctuary sanitation and disinfection protocols. Follow applicable Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation requirements. Clean and disinfect tools, equipment, sinks, surfaces, and treatment areas before and after every client. Properly sanitize and store reusable tools. Dispose of single-use items appropriately. Maintain clean towels, linens, robes, and guest accessories. Keep the Head Spa room clean, organized, stocked, and presentation-ready. Properly clean and maintain Head Spa equipment. Immediately report equipment problems, safety concerns, accidents, or sanitation issues to management. Room Preparation & Reset The Head Spa environment should always look and feel luxurious. The Head Spa Specialist will be responsible for: Preparing the Head Spa bed and treatment area before each appointment. Preparing all products, tools, towels, and accessories. Checking equipment before use. Ensuring the room is clean and guest-ready. Maintaining a visually beautiful and camera-ready environment. Completely sanitizing and resetting the room between clients. Restocking products and supplies. Maintaining the overall presentation of the Head Spa area throughout the day. Content Creation & Social Media Content creation is a required responsibility of this position. Rare Luxe Sanctuary is a highly visual luxury beauty brand, and documenting our services and guest experience is an important part of our marketing strategy. The Head Spa Specialist will be expected to learn and participate in our content-creation process.

Learn Rare Luxe Sanctuary's content standards and brand guidelines. Capture quality video and photos of Head Spa services. Record before-and-after content when appropriate. Capture behind-the-scenes footage and service demonstrations. Learn how to properly frame and record content using a smartphone and approved equipment. Capture content without disrupting the guest's luxury experience. Follow required client consent procedures. Occasionally participate in content while on camera. Assist with content for Instagram, TikTok, advertising, website marketing, and other platforms. Maintain a polished, camera-ready treatment environment. Represent the Rare Luxe Sanctuary brand professionally both on and off camera. You do not need to be a professional content creator when you apply. You do need to be comfortable learning, using technology, capturing content, and occasionally being on camera. Client Education & Retail Our approach to product recommendations is education, not pressure. The Head Spa Specialist will be expected to: Become knowledgeable about Rare Luxe Sanctuary's professional hair and scalp-care products. Educate clients about appropriate home-care recommendations. Recommend products based on the client's individual needs. Explain Head Spa maintenance recommendations. Understand Rare Luxe Sanctuary Head Spa memberships and packages. Confidently explain membership/package options to interested clients. Make appropriate recommendations without using high-pressure sales tactics. Membership & Package Commission Rare Luxe Sanctuary offers Head Spa memberships and packages designed to encourage consistent scalp and hair care. The Head Spa Specialist will receive a: 10% commission on qualifying Head Spa membership/package sales. Productive Time Between Appointments When the appointment schedule is not full, this position is expected to remain productive. This is not a position where you simply wait for the next appointment. Productive time between appointments may include: Cleaning and sanitizing treatment areas. Restocking products and supplies. Folding and organizing towels and linens. Preparing rooms for upcoming appointments. Checking inventory. Organizing products and accessories. Cleaning and maintaining Head Spa equipment. Assisting with salon organization. We are willing to train a qualified Texas-licensed hairstylist who does not have previous Head Spa experience.
