Duties Perform a wide range of nail services including manicures, gel manicures, pedicures, acrylic and nail extensions, and nail art designs. Apply and maintain nail enhancements using techniques such as acrylic application and gel curing, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal. Follow strict salon safety protocols, including sanitation and disinfection procedures, to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients and staff. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction with each service. Educate clients on proper nail care routines and recommend retail products to support ongoing nail health. Assist with retail sales by upselling products such as nail polishes, skincare items, or hair extensions when appropriate. Stay updated on the latest trends in nail art, color theory, and industry techniques to continually enhance your skills. Experience Proven experience working as a licensed manicurist or nail technician within the beauty or salon industry. Strong knowledge of nail care principles, sanitation standards, and disinfection procedures. Familiarity with advanced techniques such as nail extensions, gel manicures, acrylic application, and esthetic laser treatments is preferred. Excellent communication skills to connect with diverse clients and understand their individual needs. Ability to perform multiple services efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards. Experience with retail sales strategies including upselling and retail math to maximize client satisfaction and revenue. Certification in cosmetology or related field required; additional certifications in eyelash extensions, body waxing, or hair styling are a plus.
