Synopsis:

When a broken nun faces the weight of isolation and religious extremism, her body and mind turn against her, distorting everything she has ever been taught about womanhood, devotion, and self. In a psychotic episode, she murders the convent's youngest novice. But what follows is not guilt or panic. In her fractured state, she begins to treat the corpse as her own child. She escapes from her duties and does everything a mother would do for the things she loves. When Mother Superior discovers her, the delusion is already too deep to pull out. She cannot come back.
