Product Evaluation Specialist
  • Hair Color & Care Reports to:
Product Development Director Location:
Corona, CA — Salon/testing studio; occasional remote work Summary Lead end-to-end product evaluations for hair color and cosmetic items in salon. Measure performance (color accuracy, lift, coverage) and assess consumer experience (safety, scalp/hair quality, usability). Oversee model recruitment, standardized testing, data capture, and reporting to support product claims and formulation improvements.
Key Responsibilities Testing & Data:
Plan and execute evaluations. Record formulas, timings, and conditions; and controlled photography.
Model Management:
Recruit, schedule, and manage hair models, consents, and compensation. Maintain a reliable model pool and oversee salon operations calendar.
Feedback & Analysis:
Collect pre/post surveys and qualitative feedback; analyze data and create clear, visual reports for claim substantiation and product decisions.
Collaboration:
Partner with R D, Marketing, and Operations on testing protocols, Gate reviews, and launch readiness. Train stylists/contractors on procedures.
Operations:
Maintain instruments, inventory, and station readiness; ensure safety and data integrity. Support internal content capture aligned with brand compliance. Skills & Competencies Detail-oriented, organized multitasker with strong communication and presentation skills. Knowledge of hair types and hair color Proficient in Microsoft 365 Professional and confident in consumer-facing settings. Qualifications Cosmetology license required. 1-3+ years in salon or product testing environments preferred. Familiarity with hair color testing methods a plus.
