Spa Coordinator

Job Description

Job Purpose:
Greets guests, answers incoming calls, books appointments for spa services, and provides guest service while in the Spa.

Provides guest service by welcoming all guests entering the spa and salon, providing assistance and/or instruction in the use of the spa facilities and services, providing robe, slippers, towels, water, answering incoming calls, greeting callers, visitors, and team members in a friendly and courteous manner, providing spa and salon treatment options, informing guest of promotions and specials, scheduling requested treatments, and promptly notifying Spa and Retail Leadership of guest comments and/or complaints. Provides accounting of sales transactions during shift by entering cash transactions into the Point-of-Sale System, counting currency, logging guest discounts, vouchers, and credit cards in the Cashier Drop worksheet, balancing the money drawer against the generated cashier report following established procedures, and reporting discrepancies to the Spa Leadership. Ensures spa merchandise is stocked by completing and submitting supply requisitions, placing delivered items in cabinets, wiping and restocking shelves, counters, and rearranging merchandise in display cabinets, and cleaning cashier stations according the established procedures. Maintains department equipment, materials, and fixtures by ensuring all products and promotional materials are available and visible at the spa desk and display racks, cleaning and removing debris from counters, cupboards and equipment, maintaining orderly storage area, transporting materials and equipment to various spa rooms as needed, notifying manager of any of any damaged, broken or inoperable equipment and when materials or supplies are low and need to be reordered, placing used linens in appropriate area, and performing other maintenance and cleaning tasks are assigned by the manager. Provides administrative support to the department by documenting and forwarding reports, complaints, suggestions, and recommendations to the Spa & Retail Leadership, assisting with the coordination of Spa promotions and sales events, and distributing promotional merchandise as directed.

Education and Experience:
Essential:
1 year of guest service experience 6 months of receptionist experience 6 months of cash handling experience
Desirable:
Spa or Resort Spa environment High School Diploma or G.E.D. Hospitality experience
