Required Years of Experience 1 year Job Details Lobby Bar DC is looking for a motivated, hospitality-driven Junior Floor Manager to join our front-of-house leadership team. Located in the heart of Capitol Hill across from Eastern Market, Lobby Bar is a neighborhood staple with a focus on great food, craft cocktails, and genuine hospitality. We're looking for someone who wants to be part of a growing team and help us continue raising the bar.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The Junior Floor Manager will work closely with management to keep the restaurant running smoothly while leading by example on the floor.
The ideal candidate:
Has previous experience as a Lead Server, Supervisor, Floor Manager, or Assistant Manager
Has strong leadership and communication skills
Understands what great hospitality looks like and knows how to set the standard for the team
Is confident managing a busy dining room and making decisions in real time
Can coach and support servers, bartenders, and hosts during service
Is comfortable handling guest concerns and service recovery
Has strong knowledge of food, cocktails, and wine—or is eager to continue learning
Is Toast-savvy and/or comfortable with restaurant technology
Understands the importance of sales, check averages, upselling, and labor
Has basic financial and operational knowledge, including cash handling, comps, voids, discounts, and closing procedures
Is organized, accountable, and able to communicate effectively with both FOH and BOH
Wants to grow into a stronger management role
