SUMMARY:
We're seeking an experienced Assistant Spa Manager to support the Spa Manager in overseeing daily operations, leading teams, and maintaining Drift's elevated standards. This role is hands-on and people-focused, serving as a bridge between leadership and service providers while ensuring seamless operations and exceptional guest care in a fast-paced, high-volume hospitality environment. This position requires an active Illinois state license in Cosmetology, Esthetics, or Massage Therapy and a passion for wellness, leadership, and luxury service. Support daily operations across Drift Spa, Drift Drybar, and the nail studio, ensuring all spaces are guest-ready, pristine, and aligned with Drift's luxury standards. Act as a floor leader during assigned shifts, supporting service flow, resolving issues in real time, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. Assist the Spa Manager in leading, coaching, and motivating therapists, estheticians, nail technicians, stylists, and front desk associates. Reinforce SOPs, service standards, and brand expectations through hands-on leadership and example. Support onboarding, training reinforcement, and ongoing team development. Interact directly with guests to ensure satisfaction and resolve concerns with empathy, professionalism, and discretion. Assist with scheduling, payroll review, inventory oversight, and operational reporting. Support tracking and interpretation of productivity, rates, ratios, percentages, and other performance data. Help prepare reports, business correspondence, and procedural documentation. Support compliance with all regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and Illinois licensing standards. Assist with seasonal promotions, loyalty programs, and wellness events that align with the Hollywood Casino and Drift branding. Stay informed on skincare, beauty, salon, and wellness trends, contributing ideas that support innovation.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for staff development and training programs. Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement. Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees in regards to performance. Provides recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning and directing work) to meet business needs. Manages work procedures and expedites workflow. Provides recommendation for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, and counseling).

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or Wellness preferred; relevant spa/hospitality management experience required. Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate. Active and valid Illinois state license in Cosmetology, Esthetics, or Massage Therapy (required). Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a spa, hotel, resort, or casino environment. Strong organizational, financial, and time-management skills. Ability to perform basic mathematical functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, rates, ratios, and percentages, and to interpret basic reports and graphs. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
STARTING SALARY
Starting at $60,000.00 annually, based on experience
