Bring your leadership experience to our team and earn up to a $5,000 signing bonus for proven success managing commission-based service professionals! This position offers a starting salary of $50,000 , plus up to $4,000 in annual performance bonuses! Design 1 Salon Spa has been recognized by Grand Rapids Magazine as Best Hair Salon, Best Day Spa, and Best Manicure/Pedicure . With over 40 years in business and four locations across West Michigan , we are proud to be the area's premier destination for luxury salon and spa services. We're seeking a motivated, people-focused leader to join our management team. The Salon Manager is responsible for daily operations and for fostering a culture of excellence that aligns with Design 1's values and standards of exceptional service . You'll guide and inspire a talented team of commission-based stylists and spa professionals to deliver the best client experience in the industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Leadership & Coaching- Motivate, mentor, and support commission-based stylists and service providers to meet individual and team performance goals. Performance Management
- Set clear sales and service targets; monitor progress; provide feedback and performance reviews to drive results. Sales & Revenue Growth
- Track key metrics (service revenue, retail sales, rebooking rates, etc.) and implement strategies to boost profitability. Client Experience Oversight
- Ensure every guest receives a consistent, high-quality experience that aligns with Design 1 standards. Conflict Resolution
- Address and resolve team or client concerns promptly and professionally to maintain a positive salon culture. Compliance & Policies
- Uphold salon policies and safety standards for all team members. Inventory & Operations Management
- Oversee product ordering, inventory control, and salon upkeep to support smooth daily operations.
