Front Desk Associate / Salon Coordinator WAIR Studio Salon | Marlton, NJ WAIR Studio Salon is looking for a motivated, polished, positive, and highly organized Front Desk Associate / Salon Coordinator to join our team. This is more than a receptionist position. Our front desk is the center of communication between our guests, stylists, management, and owner. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys helping people, wants to learn, and is excited to grow within a professional salon environment. Greet and engage every guest warmly, answer phones professionally, schedule appointments accurately, assist with questions, manage guest concerns appropriately, and help maintain the elevated level of hospitality expected at WAIR. Scheduling & Salon Flow Learn and confidently use our salon software and scheduling systems. Monitor the daily schedule, communicate with stylists, help keep appointments running on time, anticipate scheduling issues, manage changes efficiently, and communicate delays before they become problems. Rebooking, Retail & Growth Goals Our front desk plays an active role in the success of the salon.
You will help:
Rebook guests before they leave Educate guests about appropriate retail products Introduce relevant salon services and add-ons Track and work toward established front-desk goals Support promotions, memberships, events, and salon initiatives Follow through consistently on daily and monthly goals Organization & Salon Standards Maintain a clean, professional, organized front desk and reception area throughout the day. This includes keeping workspaces orderly, completing assigned cleaning and organizational tasks, maintaining supplies, and noticing what needs attention without always needing to be asked. Administrative & Owner Support Assist the owner and management team with daily operational needs, communication, organization, projects, events, parties, promotions, and other administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate is comfortable learning and using: Microsoft Excel Microsoft Word Canva Salon scheduling/software systems Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new technology are important for this position. What Success Looks Like in Your First 90 Days We believe in setting clear expectations and giving our team the training and feedback they need to succeed. First 30 Days — Learn Your focus will be learning WAIR's systems, standards, culture, services, team, and guest experience. By the end of your first 30 days, we expect you to be developing confidence with: Salon software and appointment scheduling Phone and guest communication Check-in and checkout procedures WAIR services, products, promotions, and policies Rebooking procedures Retail and service add-on conversations Maintaining an organized and professional front desk Communicating effectively with stylists and management Receiving coaching and applying feedback We don't expect perfection. We do expect effort, curiosity, improvement, and follow-through. Days 31-60 — Take Ownership As your knowledge grows, so should your independence and accountability.
You should begin:
Managing the front desk confidently with less direction Anticipating what needs to be done instead of waiting to be asked Monitoring the schedule and helping keep stylists running on time Consistently asking guests about rebooking Confidently discussing retail, add-ons, and current salon offerings Following up on assigned tasks without repeated reminders Helping maintain salon organization and cleanliness Communicating problems early and helping find solutions Understanding and working toward front-desk performance goals Days 61-90 — Contribute By 90 days, we want you to feel like an important part of WAIR—not simply someone working behind the desk.

$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
