Responsibilities Lead and motivate the salon team to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve sales targets. Manage daily operations, including scheduling shifts, supervising staff performance, and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards. Oversee inventory management, purchasing supplies, and maintaining stock levels to meet client demands efficiently. Implement effective sales strategies, promote retail products, and enhance overall salon profitability through upselling and client engagement. Conduct interviewing, employee orientation, training & development sessions to build a skilled and knowledgeable team. Handle payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system management with accuracy. Maintain organizational skills for scheduling appointments, managing store operations, and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment. Utilize management skills to oversee operational procedures such as pricing, merchandising, stock control, and inventory audits. Communicate clearly with team members using managerial communication techniques to foster teamwork and resolve conflicts promptly. Ensure compliance with all local regulations related to health standards, licensing requirements, and safety protocols. Qualifications Proven supervisory or managerial experience within the retail or service industry; previous assistant manager experience is highly valued. Strong knowledge of retail management principles including sales management, inventory control, merchandising, and budgeting. Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse clientele. Demonstrated skills in negotiation, recruiting, employee orientation, training & development. Experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, bookkeeping software, and operational management tools. Familiarity with retail math concepts such as pricing strategies and sales analysis; grocery store or retail industry sales team management experience is advantageous. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork; proficiency in managing shift schedules and supervising staff performance. Basic math skills for daily financial transactions; phone etiquette and customer service expertise are essential for client interactions.
