Job Description

The Salon Coordinator will be the first and last point of contact for our guests. Their primary responsibility is to ensure that every client feels welcomed, cared for, and confident in their experience at Ashby Rose Hair. This role will also provide support with the salon's social media presence and day-to-day marketing needs.
CLIENT EXPERIENCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Warmly welcome each guest and assist with checking in and checking out Provide attentive, professional, and personalized service throughout the client's visit Answer phone calls, text messages, emails, and online inquiries promptly and professionally Assist clients with scheduling, rescheduling, and selecting the appropriate stylist or service Clearly explain salon policies, pricing, stylist levels, and service options Confirm upcoming appointments and help reduce cancellations and scheduling gaps Encourage clients to prebook future appointments before leaving the salon Assist with client concerns calmly and professionally, involving management when appropriate Follow up with clients when requested by salon management Help maintain accurate client profiles, appointment notes, and contact information Protect client privacy and maintain discretion regarding salon and client information
FRONT DESK AND SALON SUPPORT
Manage the appointment book with accuracy and attention to detail Monitor the daily schedule and communicate appointment changes to the appropriate team members Process payments, gift cards, deposits, refunds, and retail purchases correctly Ask clients whether they are paying by debit or credit and follow the salon's payment procedures Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and reception area Help ensure retail displays, beverage areas, and client-facing spaces remain clean and inviting Monitor salon supplies and communicate restocking needs to management Support salon promotions, events, newsletters, and client appreciation initiatives Assist the owner and salon manager with administrative tasks as needed
SOCIAL MEDIA SUPPORT
Capture polished photos and short videos of salon services, transformations, products, and team moments Assist with creating and scheduling consistent social media content Help write captions that reflect the salon's professional and welcoming brand Share approved promotions, appointment openings, stylist features, and salon updates Organize client and stylist content for future use Request proper client permission before photographing or posting Monitor social media messages and direct booking or service questions to the appropriate person Maintain the salon's brand standards and protect the privacy of clients and team members
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Friendly, polished, and naturally welcoming Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent schedule Professional in appearance, communication, and conduct Organized and comfortable managing several responsibilities at once Confident speaking with clients by phone, text, email, and in person Calm and solutions-focused when handling concerns or schedule changes Comfortable learning salon scheduling and payment systems Familiar with Instagram, Facebook, Canva, and basic content creation Able to take clear, attractive photos and videos using a smartphone Willing to accept feedback and work closely with salon leadership Interested in becoming a valued, long-term member of the salon team Previous front desk, hospitality, retail, customer service, salon, spa, or social media experience is preferred. Knowledge of the beauty industry is helpful but not required.
Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
