Embroidery Specialist

Job Description

UNIE is a fast-growing custom uniform supply company blending innovation, function, and design to create premium uniform programs for hardworking teams. We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Apparel Embroidery Specialist to operate commercial embroidery equipment and produce high-quality embroidery on uniforms, apparel, merchandise, hats, bags, and other products. Core Responsibilities Set up and operate commercial embroidery machines Hoop and prepare garments, hats, bags, and other items Load embroidery files, select thread colors, and complete machine setup Edit artwork and embroidery files for size, placement, density, and sew quality Complete test sew-outs and make adjustments as needed Monitor production and troubleshoot thread breaks, tension issues, and other machine problems Review finished items for accuracy, placement, and quality Trim, clean, fold, tag, and pack completed products Perform routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance Keep embroidery supplies, files, and work areas organized Assist with order preparation, inventory, and fulfillment as needed Preferred Experience & Skills Commercial embroidery experience preferred Experience operating multi-head embroidery machines Knowledge of hooping, backing, thread, needles, tension, and garment placement Ability to edit embroidery files and make basic artwork adjustments Experience with embroidery software such as DG17, Wilcom, Hatch, Pulse, Chroma, or similar Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Reliable, organized, and able to work independently Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment Experience with heat press, sewing, screen printing, or other garment decoration is a plus Ability to stand for long periods of time and regularly lift/move boxes or inventory as needed Schedule Monday through Friday during standard business hours. Part-time or full-time may be available depending on experience and availability. Occasional evenings or weekends may be needed during busy production periods.
