ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a skilled Alterations Sewing Operator to join our team at our Spectrum Court Atelier in Irvine, CA.

Responsibilities include:

Ensuring perfect fit through custom modifications and resizing of garments. Handling all sewing tasks from machine sewing to hand finishing, cutting, bustling, and pressing.

ABOUT YOU

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years specializing in Bridal and Evening Formal Gown alterations.

Skills:

Expert in handling delicate materials like lace, bead work, silks, and tulle.

Technical Proficiency:

Advanced sewing skills with experience on

Industrial Sewing Machines Knowledge:

Deep understanding of garment construction and fit.

Communication:

Maintain professional communication with the owner.

Multitasking:

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a team setting.

Availability:

Ready to work 8-hour shifts, with flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Sew and fit garments as assigned by the owner in a timely manner. Perform all sewing tasks including machine sewing, hand finishing, cutting, bustling, and pressing. Accurately measure, mark, and customize garments according to Darya Fomina, Inc. standards. Manage individual projects from start to finish, following detailed alteration instructions.

IMPORTANT NOTE

Sewing Test:

Candidates must pass a sewing and alteration proficiency test using Industrial Sewing Machines and provided wedding or formal gown.

SALARY RANGE

Hourly Rate:

$25.00 - $40.00

Annualized Salary:

$52,000 - $83,200 based on full-time (40 hours/week), though actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, and knowledge.

Pay:

$25.00 - $40.00 per hour
