In this role, you will be responsible for the professional alteration, repair, fitting, and customization of garments, as well as specialized couture sewing projects. Responsibilities Construct, alter, repair, and customize bridal gowns, couture, eveningwear, and custom garments . Create and modify patterns based on measurements, sketches, reference garments, or design specifications. Perform structural garment alterations, including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, resizing, reshaping, and adjusting garment construction . Work with heavily beaded, embellished, sequined, and crystal-adorned fabrics , including making precise alterations while preserving the original embellishments and design. Use knowledge of different fabrics to select appropriate stitches, threads, needles, and sewing techniques for each material. Complete garments and sewing projects according to established deadlines and production schedules . Experience & Qualifications Must be legally authorized to work in the United States . Minimum 5 years of professional tailoring experience . Professional experience working with bridal gowns and eveningwear is required . Strong pattern-making, garment construction, fitting, and alteration skills. Extensive experience working with silk, chiffon, lace, satin, heavily beaded fabrics, and other luxury and delicate materials . Excellent industrial machine sewing and hand-sewing skills . Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship. Ability to work independently and efficiently while meeting deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Experience with corset construction .
