Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Alterations Tailor to join our dynamic retail team. Responsibilities Perform alterations and repairs on a variety of garments, including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and resizing clothing to achieve the desired fit. Consult with customers to understand their specific tailoring requests and provide professional advice on garment adjustments. Use sewing machines and hand sewing techniques to execute precise alterations with attention to detail. Measure customers accurately using basic math skills to determine appropriate adjustments and ensure proper fit. Maintain a clean, organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored and maintained. Communicate clearly with customers about the scope of work, timelines, and any additional recommendations. Ensure all garments meet quality standards before returning them to customers, adhering to safety and craftsmanship guidelines. Qualifications Prior experience in garment alterations. Prior Dry cleaning alterations. Ability to sew, hem all garments; proficiency in sewing techniques Proficiency in sewing machine operation and garment construction techniques. Customer service skills with the ability to listen carefully and communicate effectively. Knowledge of sewing, garment fitting, and measurements and adjustments. Attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a passion for fashion craftsmanship are essential for success in this role. Dry Cleaning alterations experience preferred
