Seamstress/Seamster Hilton Upholstery San Luis Obispo, CA Job Details Full-time From $30 an hour 3 days ago Qualifications Sewing Stitching Mid-level Dimensional measurements Following blueprint specifications Pattern making (upholstery techniques) Full Job Description We're looking for an experienced, reliable, and highly skilled seamstress/seamster to join our upholstery business. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship and has a strong eye for detail. What we're looking for:
- Experience with upholstery sewing and/or heavy-duty sewing
- Ability to sew cushions, covers, piping/welting, and other upholstery components
- Comfortable working with a variety of fabrics and materials
- Strong attention to detail and consistent, quality workmanship
- Ability to read measurements and work from patterns/templates
- Know how to measure and make custom patterns
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
- Professional attitude and pride in your work
- Experience with automotive, marine, RV, residential, or commercial upholstery is a plus What you'll be doing:
- Sewing custom upholstery pieces
- Constructing cushion covers and other upholstered components
- Sewing piping/welting
- Following measurements, patterns, and job specifications
- Creating, measuring custom patterns
- Helping produce high-quality finished pieces for residential, automotive, RV, and marine projects We are looking for someone who is experienced and takes their craft seriously.
