Alterations Specialist

Our client, a law enforcement uniform and gear retailer, is looking for an Alterations Specialist to join their team in Valencia, CA . This role involves performing a full range of sewing and alteration services on garments, with a strong focus on law enforcement uniforms. The ideal candidate brings hands-on alterations experience and a background working with police or military uniforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform all aspects of sewing and alterations as required by the company Verify orders before beginning alterations — check merchandise for correct color, size, and style Hem and tailor garments as needed Apply patches and sew embellishments Repair and customize garments including shortening sleeves, inserting/replacing zippers, patching clothing, and sewing belt loops Interact with customers to ensure their needs are met Maintain a clean and organized workspace Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent Prior sewing and alterations experience required Must have former law enforcement uniform experience Experience with industrial sewing equipment a plus Strong attention to detail Ability to lift up to 40 lbs Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent customer service skills Flexible and willing to work in various departments as needed Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Pay Rate:

$18.79•$20.00 per hour

Schedule:
