Full-Time Immediate Opening Overview We are seeking an experienced Bridal & Luxury Women's Alterations Specialist to join our professional alterations team in Jupiter, Florida. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with wedding gowns and high-end designer women's clothing, including dresses, evening gowns, trousers, jackets, resort wear, and other luxury ready-to-wear garments. The ideal candidate must also have extensive experience in fittings and complex alteration work mainly with beadwork and delicate/ fine fabrics. This position requires excellent knowledge of garment construction and fit, advanced sewing skills, and the ability to work confidently with both complex bridal gowns and high-end designer garments made from delicate, embellished, specialty, and structured fabrics. Duties Perform high-quality alterations on wedding gowns and luxury designer women's clothing Alter a wide range of high-end garments, including dresses, evening gowns, trousers, jackets, resort wear, and designer ready-to-wear Work with complex bridal construction, including multi-layer gowns, hems, trains, bustles, lace, beading, boning, corsetry, and embellishments Perform advanced hand and machine sewing Work confidently with delicate, embellished, structured, and specialty fabrics Alter and reshape garments while maintaining the integrity of the original designer construction, proportions, and finish Evaluate garment fit and determine the appropriate alteration solutions Assist with or independently conduct fittings, depending on experience Complete alterations accurately and efficiently within established deadlines Maintain exceptional quality standards appropriate for valuable bridal and luxury designer garments Communicate professionally with clients and members of the sales and alterations teams Skills & Qualifications Professional experience in bridal and/or high-end women's alterations strongly preferred 7+ years of professional tailoring or alterations experience Advanced hand-sewing and machine-sewing skills Excellent knowledge of women's garment construction, fitting, and alteration techniques Experience working with delicate fabrics, lace, beading, embellishments, structured garments, and high-end designer clothing Ability to evaluate fit and independently determine appropriate alteration methods Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Professional communication skills and ability to interact with clients Physical Requirements Manual dexterity to use sewing machines and hand tools. Ability to lift and handle fabrics and materials of varying weight. Good eyesight for precise measurements and stitching.
