Seamstress / Garment Technician (Activewear & Technical Suit Repair)

About Peak Fitness Peak Fitness is a boutique EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) training studio delivering fast, effective, low-impact workouts. Our members use specialized EMS training suits made from high-performance nylon/spandex fabrics with integrated electrode pads and wiring systems that require regular technical maintenance and repair. We are seeking a skilled Seamstress / Garment Technician / Alterations Specialist to help repair, reinforce, and maintain these specialized suits. Responsibilities Repair tears, seam failures, and fabric stress points in nylon/spandex EMS training suits Carefully open electrode pads to access internal wiring components for repair or adjustment, then professionally reseal and sew pads closed Reinforce high-tension areas to improve garment durability Replace zippers, elastic, velcro, snaps, and minor hardware Perform fit alterations when needed Inspect suits for wear, electrical pad integrity, and safety issues Maintain organized repair workflow and communicate timelines Recommend preventative repair techniques and durability improvements Qualifications Experience sewing stretch/technical fabrics (nylon, spandex, lycra, athletic wear) Experience with precision repair work or delicate garment construction Ability to carefully open and reconstruct padded or layered garment components Comfortable performing repetitive repair tasks with high attention to detail Experience using industrial or professional sewing machines preferred Ability to work independently and manage repair priorities
