Overview:

We're seeking an experienced and dependable Part-Time Alterations Specialist to provide professional alteration and tailoring services for our customers. This position is ideal for someone who is skilled in garment alterations, can work independently, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. Candidates with an existing clientele are encouraged to apply and will have the opportunity to bring and grow their customer base through our location.

Responsibilities:

Perform garment alterations, including hemming, waist adjustments, sleeve adjustments, zipper replacements, repairs, and other common alterations Measure and pin customers for alterations and fittings Complete alteration orders accurately and within the promised turnaround time Inspect completed garments to ensure quality workmanship Maintain a clean and organized alterations workspace Communicate with customers and staff regarding alteration requests and special instructions Help grow alteration services by providing excellent service and building repeat clientele

Qualifications:

Previous professional sewing, tailoring, or garment alteration experience required Ability to perform common alterations independently Strong sewing and garment construction knowledge Excellent attention to detail and quality Dependable with strong attendance Comfortable working directly with customers for measurements and fittings Existing clientele is a plus, but not required

Compensation:

$10.00 per hour guaranteed OR 40% commission on completed alteration services, whichever is greater for the week. Compensation is calculated weekly and paid every Friday. This structure provides guaranteed hourly pay while allowing for increased earning potential as alteration volume grows.

Schedule:

Part-time Monday, Wednesday & Friday Approximately 3 days per week

Clientele & Growth Opportunity:

Candidates with an existing alterations clientele are encouraged to bring their customers to our location. You will also have the opportunity to build additional clientele through our existing customer base and promote yourself as an Alterations Specialist at Dry Fold.

Candidate:

Someone who is experienced in alterations, dependable, detail-oriented, takes pride in their craftsmanship, and is interested in building a consistent clientele within an established dry-cleaning business.

Pay:

$10.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 per week
