Duties Perform clothing alterations on men's garments including suits, trousers, shirts, and outerwear with precision and attention to detail Use sewing machines, hand sewing techniques, and pressing machines to modify garments according to customer specifications Operate pressing machines and press garments to achieve crisp finishes and professional presentation Consult with customers to understand their tailoring needs and provide expert advice on garment adjustments Ensure garment construction quality by inspecting stitches, seams, and fabric materials throughout the alteration process Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area, sewing tools, and equipment such as pressing machines and sewing machines Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship Experience Proven experience in fashion retail or clothing alterations, specifically men's wear tailoring Skilled in garment sewing, stitching techniques, hand sewing, and the operation of sewing machines Knowledge of fabric materials commonly used in men's apparel and their handling requirements Familiarity with pressing machines and press operation for finishing garments professionally Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about tailoring options and procedures Basic math skills for measuring fabrics, taking accurate measurements, and calculating alterations costs Experience with custom apparel production or women's wear tailoring is a plus but not required Join us as a Menswear Alterations Specialist to bring your craftsmanship into the spotlight!
