Job Description
Overview Please note: This is an independent contractor role and the ideal candidate should be comfortable working as an independent contractor. We are seeking an experienced and talented Master Custom Dressmaker and Bridal Alterations Seamstress with proficiency in operating an Embroidery Machine to work in a Bridal custom dressmaking atelier. In this role, you will bring expert craftsmanship, keen eye for detail, and exceptional customer service skills to create beautifully constructed women's garments that meet our clients' unique needs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast paced environment where creativity and precision come together to deliver outstanding results. Duties Create dresses from start to finish from cutting to the final stage by making use of sketches, picture inspirations, measurements, patterns and materials provided. Draft patterns for garments to be constructed. Perform alterations on various types of female garments, including wedding dresses, evening dresses, bridesmaids dresses, Prom dresses and special occasion gowns. Utilize industrial sewing machines, industrial serger, and hand-sewing techniques to execute precise alterations. Assess garment fit and make recommendations for adjustments based on client preferences. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored. Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards in garment construction. Experience and Skill Requirements The ideal candidate is required to have a minimum of 15 years of proven professional garment construction, dressmaking and bridal alterations, experience within a female custom dressmaking environment. Excellent in operating industrial sewing machines, sergers, Embroidery machine and hand-sewing technique Strong knowledge of garment construction techniques, industrial sewing machine and Embroidery machine operation Excellent sewing skills, including hand-stitching and industrial machine sewing across various fabrics Prior experience working in a fast-paced custom dressmaking atelier This is a contract role for a master custom dressmaker and the ideal candidate should be comfortable with working onsite as an independent contractor.
Pay:
