Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Uniform Tailoring & Embroidery Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for customizing, tailoring, and embellishing uniforms to meet our high standards for quality and appearance. Your expertise in garment construction, sewing, and embroidery will help ensure our staff presents a professional image while maintaining comfort and functionality. Responsibilities Perform clothing alterations, tailoring, and embroidery on uniforms to achieve precise fit and aesthetic standards Use sewing machines, hand sewing techniques, and embroidery tools to craft custom apparel for staff members Operate pressing machines and press uniforms to ensure crisp presentation and professional finish Select appropriate fabric materials based on garment specifications and durability requirements Assist with garment construction tasks including stitching, fabric cutting, and assembly of uniform pieces Maintain quality control by inspecting finished products for consistency, accuracy, and craftsmanship Provide exceptional customer service by understanding individual tailoring needs and delivering timely solutions Skills Proven experience in fashion retail or clothing alterations with a focus on uniforms or custom apparel production Skilled in garment sewing, stitching, hand sewing, and press operation using various equipment including pressing machines Knowledge of fabric materials suitable for uniforms and embroidery applications Familiarity with men's wear tailoring, women's wear tailoring, and garment construction techniques Ability to operate sewing machines confidently and troubleshoot common issues efficiently Strong attention to detail with excellent hand-eye coordination for precise stitching and embroidery work Good basic math skills for measurements, pattern adjustments, and fabric calculations Exceptional customer service skills to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions Join us as a Uniform Tailoring & Embroidery Specialist to help elevate our team's professional appearance through expert craftsmanship. Pay Transparency:
The above reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for clinical certification pay and/or shift differentials.
An AAEO Employer Pay:
$27.00 - $33.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
