Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Production Seamstress/Tailor to join our team. This role involves hands-on garment construction, alterations, and tailoring for both men's and women's wear. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabric materials, garment sewing, and custom apparel production. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality craftsmanship through precise hand sewing, pressing, and garment finishing. Duties Perform clothing alterations to meet client specifications and ensure proper fit and finish. Construct garments from start to finish, including patterning, cutting, sewing, and finishing. Specialize in men's wear tailoring as well as women's wear tailoring, delivering tailored garments that meet high standards. Work with various fabric materials, understanding their properties to achieve optimal results. Execute garment sewing with precision, utilizing hand sewing techniques when necessary for detailed or delicate work. Produce custom apparel based on specific design requirements and client preferences. Operate pressing machines and perform press operations to ensure garments are pressed to professional standards. Maintain quality control throughout the production process, ensuring all garments meet quality expectations. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining craftsmanship excellence. Requirements Proven experience as a seamstress or tailor with expertise in clothing alterations and garment construction. Strong skills in men's wear tailoring and women's wear tailoring. Proficiency in working with various fabric materials and understanding their handling characteristics. Skilled in garment sewing techniques, including hand sewing for detailed work. Experience with custom apparel production from design to finished product. Ability to operate pressing machines and perform press operations efficiently. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
