Responsibilities Perform clothing alterations, including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, resizing, and repairing garments with precision and care Use sewing machines, hand sewing techniques, and pressing machines to achieve high-quality finishes on diverse fabric materials Operate pressing machines and press garments to ensure crisp seams and professional presentation Construct custom apparel pieces based on client specifications, including men's wear tailoring and women's wear tailoring Provide excellent customer service by consulting with clients about their alteration needs and offering style or fit advice when appropriate Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly used and stored Follow garment construction standards and sewing techniques to ensure durability and aesthetic appeal Qualifications Proven experience in clothing alterations, garment sewing, or tailoring within a fashion retail environment or similar setting Strong knowledge of fabric materials, stitching techniques, and garment construction principles Proficiency with sewing machines, pressing machines, hand sewing tools, and press operation Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments accurately Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship Good communication skills for interacting with customers and understanding their needs Knowledge of men's wear tailoring, women's wear tailoring, bridal and custom apparel production is highly desirable Join us as a Seamstress/Tailor/Sewist/Alterations Specialist and become a vital part of helping customers look their best!
