We're looking for someone with strong garment-construction skills, exceptional attention to detail, and experience working with stretch and performance fabrics.

What You'll Do:

Construct dance costumes using patterns and materials provided by Top Tier Dance Designs. Sew a variety of stretch and specialty materials, including spandex, mesh and elastic. Accurately follow provided patterns and construction instructions. Maintain consistent, high-quality construction and finishing across each piece. Complete assigned costumes within agreed-upon production timelines. Communicate with our design team regarding construction questions or concerns.

What We're Looking For:

Previous sewing and garment-construction experience required. Must be comfortable and experienced working with mesh and stretch materials. Ability to accurately follow patterns and construction instructions. Excellent attention to detail and consistency. Dependable, communicative and able to meet deadlines. Experience with dancewear, swimwear, gymnastics apparel or theatrical costuming.

Equipment Requirements:

This is a work-from-home position, and seamstresses must have their own workspace and sewing equipment. A standard sewing machine and serger are required; a cover stitch machine is highly preferred. Top Tier will provide all patterns, fabrics, trims, notions and other materials needed to complete each costume.

Location & Schedule:

This is a flexible, part-time/contract position with production volume varying throughout the year, with production volume being heaviest in the fall and winter. Work will be completed from your own home or workspace, but applicants must be located in the Greater Houston area for material pickup/drop-off and production coordination.

Compensation:

Competitive per-piece compensation based on the style and complexity of each costume.
