Back Part-Time Industrial Seamstress Manufacturing/Production Charleston , South Carolina Apply Now Share this Job Share this Job Start your new career as an Industrial Seamstress with MAU at a client in Charleston, SC. As an Industrial Seamstress, you will produce high-quality radiation protection garments for medical imaging practices, ensuring each garment meets strict safety and quality standards.
What We Offer:
Pay of $20.00 per hour Monday-Friday Part-time hours (20-25 hours per week) with a flexible schedule between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM No weekend work Referral program Opportunity for a potential pay increase after a 90-day performance evaluation
What We're Looking For:
1-3 years of professional sewing experience, preferably in garment production. Sewing assessment will be required. Proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines and related equipment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work with heavy or technical fabrics such as lead-lined materials, vinyl, or protective textiles (preferred) Ability to collaborate effectively with production and quality teams Sewing or textile-related certifications are a plus, but not required Experience with custom garment fitting or alterations (preferred) Basic understanding of quality control practices (preferred) What You'll Do as an
Industrial Seamstress:
Sew and assemble radiation protection garments such as lead aprons, thyroid shields, and other protective apparel Operate industrial sewing machines and work with specialized materials Inspect finished garments to ensure seams, linings, and closures meet safety and quality standards Handle lead-lined and other radiation-shielding materials while following safety procedures Customize or adjust garments to meet sizing requirements or custom orders Perform routine maintenance on sewing equipment and maintain a clean work area Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to meet regulatory standards Monitor inventory levels of fabrics, lead linings, and other materials, and report shortages to prevent production delays MAU Workforce Solutions is an innovative global company with extensive experience providing solutions for success in staffing, recruiting, technology and outsourcing to our clients, employees, and applicants.
