Position Overview:

Needle & Wand LLC is a specialized bridal alterations studio based in our welcoming at-home workshop, dedicated to providing bespoke, high-quality services for every bride. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bridal Seamstress with a minimum of 5 years of specialized bridal experience to join our team. We have part-time and full-time positions available. This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about craftsmanship and takes pride in delivering exceptional fit and finish for one of the most important garments a client will ever wear. The Bridal Seamstress will be responsible for performing advanced alterations, fittings, and customizations on bridal gowns and formalwear, ensuring each piece meets the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate has extensive experience working with delicate fabrics, intricate lace, beading, and structured garments, along with the ability to collaborate closely with team members throughout the sewing process. This is not a client facing role.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform expert-level alterations on bridal gowns, including hemming, bustle creation, bodice adjustments, strap modifications, and complex redesigns. Work with delicate fabrics such as lace, tulle, chiffon, silk, and heavily beaded materials. Execute hand-sewing and machine-sewing techniques with precision and care. Maintain organization of garments, fittings schedule, and alteration timelines. Collaborate with stylists and team members to deliver a seamless client experience. Ensure all garments meet quality standards and are completed on time for scheduled pick-ups. Handle multiple gowns at various stages of completion while maintaining attention to detail.

Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum 5+ years of professional bridal seamstress or alterations experience (required) Advanced knowledge of garment construction, pattern adjustments, and tailoring techniques. Proven experience working with bridal gowns and formalwear. Strong hand-sewing skills and proficiency with industrial sewing machines. Ability to work with intricate details such as lace appliqué, boning, corsetry, and beadwork. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-first mindset. Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Professional, reliable, and team-oriented attitude.

$23+/hr (commensurate with experience and skill level)
