Full Job Description Pay:

$15.00-$16.00 per hour Job Description Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress/Fabric Awning Production Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have sewing experience and be comfortable working with heavy-duty outdoor fabrics used to manufacture and recover fabric awnings. This position requires strong attention to detail, accurate measurements, quality craftsmanship, and the ability to operate industrial sewing machines. Experience with canvas, Sunbrella, vinyl, or other outdoor fabrics is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Duties Operate industrial sewing machines to fabricate and recover fabric awnings. Cut, measure, and sew outdoor fabrics according to job specifications and measurements. Sew seams, hems, pockets, welting, and other components required for awning fabrication. Follow work orders, measurements, patterns, and production instructions accurately. Work with large pieces of fabric and safely handle rolls and materials. Inspect completed awnings for proper stitching, measurements, seams, and overall quality. Identify and correct sewing or fabrication issues before the product moves to installation. Work closely with the production and installation teams to meet project deadlines. Maintain an organized and clean sewing and production area. Properly handle and store fabric, thread, tools, and other production materials. Assist with inventory of fabrics and sewing supplies. Perform basic troubleshooting and routine care of sewing equipment. Follow company safety procedures and production standards. Requirements Previous sewing experience required. Experience operating industrial sewing machines preferred. Experience working with heavy-duty fabrics, canvas, vinyl, or outdoor fabrics is a plus. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to read and follow measurements, work orders, and instructions. Comfortable working with large pieces of fabric. Ability to work independently while also being part of a production team. Good organizational and time-management skills. Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move fabric and materials throughout the workday. Dependable, punctual, and committed to producing quality work. Willingness to learn our specific awning fabrication techniques and processes.
