Job Summary We are seeking a talented and dedicated Seamstress Tailor to join our team. In this role, you will provide a valuable service to our dedicated members of the Marine Corp, as well as retired military and civilians in need of alteration services. Attention to detail is critical, to meet exacting Marine requirements. The store is open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, so your work hours can be somewhat flexible, allowing you to work part time even if you are employed elsewhere. While speed is important, your attention to detail and customer satisfaction are paramount.

store is located in the Town of Quantico so you must be able to obtain a base pass from the Marine Base at Quantico. Responsibilities Perform clothing alterations, repairs, and custom modifications with precision and care. Construct garments from fabric materials using sewing machines, hand sewing techniques, and pressing machines. Assist customers by providing expert advice on fabric materials, garment fit, and tailoring options. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sewing area, tools, and equipment. Requirements Proven experience in clothing alterations, or garment sewing. Skilled in using sewing machines, hand sewing techniques, and pressing machines effectively. Knowledge of fabric materials, stitching methods, and garment construction principles. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate tailoring options clearly. Familiarity with men's wear tailoring, and women's wear tailoring is desirable. Basic math skills for measuring fabrics, taking measurements accurately, and calculating adjustments. Attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and a passion for quality craftsmanship.
