Duties Perform clothing alterations and repairs, including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and resizing garments for a flawless fit Use sewing machines, hand sewing techniques, and pressing machines to execute precise garment construction and finishing touches Operate pressing machines and press garments to achieve crisp, professional results that meet quality standard Manage multiple alteration projects efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and adhering to deadlines Maintain a clean, organized workspace with properly functioning sewing equipment and tools Assist in fabric selection and garment customization for special orders or bespoke apparel production Skills Proven experience in clothing alterations, garment sewing, and garment construction within a fashion retail environment Strong knowledge of fabric materials, stitching techniques, and press operation for various types of clothing including men's wear tailoring and women's wear tailoring Proficiency with sewing machines, hand sewing tools, and pressing equipment to deliver high-quality finishes Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about alterations and fabric care Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements, adjustments, and pattern modifications Familiarity with fashion retail standards and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting Knowledge of clothing fitting principles and garment sizing adjustments Join us as a Seamstress Tailor Sewist Alterations Specialist where your craftsmanship makes a difference!
