Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Alterations Specialist to join our team, working 10AM-6PM Monday through Friday. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert clothing alteration services to ensure our customers leave with perfectly fitted garments. Your expertise in garment construction, sewing, and fabric materials will help deliver exceptional quality and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Perform clothing alterations including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, zipper repairs and replacements, and resizing garments for both men's and women's clothing. Use sewing machines and hand sewing techniques to ensure precise stitching and finishing touches. Communicate effectively with customers to understand alteration requests and provide expert advice on fabric materials and garment care. Ensure all alterations meet high standards of garment construction and stitching quality. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper handling of fabric materials and sewing tools. Follow safety procedures when operating sewing machinery. Experience Prior experience in clothing alterations is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of garment sewing, stitching techniques, and fabric materials. Hands-on experience with sewing machines. Familiarity with men's wear tailoring, women's wear tailoring, and custom apparel production is advantageous. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about alteration processes. Basic math skills for measuring garments accurately and making precise adjustments.
