We are an established shop in the heart of Stowe, VT. We are in need of a licensed tattoo artist who can take walk in tattoos daily. Duties Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, offering professional advice on design, placement, and color choices based on principles of color theory and body anatomy Prepare the workspace by following rigorous sterilization protocols for tattoo equipment and ensuring all tools meet safety regulations Execute high-quality tattoos with precision, attention to detail, and artistic flair, utilizing professional art or design skills and illustration techniques Maintain a clean, sanitized environment in compliance with tattooing and piercing safety regulations to prevent infections and cross-contamination Communicate clearly with clients throughout the process, providing guidance on aftercare and addressing any questions or concerns Assist in store management duties as needed, including inventory management of supplies and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for clients Stay updated on industry best practices related to sanitation, body piercing, first aid procedures, and new tattooing techniques to ensure top-tier service Experience Valid licensure as a Tattoo Artist with certification demonstrating compliance with local health department regulations Proven experience in tattooing with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse styles and techniques (at least two years) ability to handle emergencies confidently and effectively Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally and build rapport with clients Experience in store management or retail environments is a plus, demonstrating organizational skills and sales aptitude Artistic background in professional art or design disciplines such as illustration enhances creative capabilities 2 years tattooing experience required (This is not an apprentice position)
