Upholstery Line

Objective:

Responsible for seat deck, outer arm, outback, closeout, or seat position that consist of upholstering a chair, sofa, couch, and etc. utilizing staple gun. Will also be responsible for applying mechanisms, bases, nail head trim, electrical components, and swivel tubes and legs.

Responsibilities:

Apply cardboard and poly foam to frame Fit, install, and secure fabric on frames Apply accessories to furniture, i.e. Mechanisms, bases, nail head trim, electrical components, swivel tubes, and legs Ensure quality of workmanship is to specification Safely use of staple gun, drill, screwdriver, ratchet, glue gun, scissors, box cutter, ice pick, pliers, and mallets. Ability to perform one or more upholster jobs on Couch, sofa, ottoman, or full upholstered chair independently Ability to upholster a complete dining chair independently Work in other areas as needed and seen fit per supervisor

Ability to stand, bend, push, pull and lift Possess good attitude, listening skills and work well with others Follow specific instructions Adhere to safety regulations Adhere to policies as documented in the Akin House, Inc.
