Position Summary We are looking for a Production Manager to run daily floor operations in our Interiors and Upholstery department, covering trim, upholstery, headliners, carpet, and interior assembly through final fit and QC. This role is heavy on production management and scheduling and does not require prior upholstery experience but this is a plus. This position reports directly to the FF Interiors Division Manager and works closely with the Interiors team and other divisions to ensure jobs move through the department on schedule and are ready for delivery or final assembly. Key Responsibilities Own the department production schedule, sequencing jobs to hit delivery commitments across concurrent builds Full accountability for department output, on time delivery, and profit margin management Coordinate with sales on backlog, lead times, and delivery commitments Partner with finance on labor coding, job costing, and P&L performance Drive process discipline and quality gates across all stations Track job status daily and proactively flag schedule risk before it becomes a delay Lead and develop the floor leadership team Represent the department in weekly operations and leadership reviews Qualifications Track record running production schedules across multiple concurrent jobs in a shop, manufacturing, or custom fabrication environment Track record moving from floor leadership into a role with real P&L, output, or delivery accountability Experience running a production floor in a low volume or custom manufacturing environment Six Sigma experience (certification preferred, practical application acceptable) Ability to earn credibility with experienced tradespeople Comfortable balancing floor level decisions with business level reporting Strong scheduling and prioritization skills across competing jobs and deadlines Use of Microsoft Office suite of tools Physical & Work Environment Requirements Full-time, on-site position in Gilbert, AZ Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work safely around shop equipment and material handling Must maintain a clean and organized work environment consistent with Fat Fender's shop standards Comply with all OSHA, company safety, and PPE requirements at all times Value Added Skills - Preferred, Not Required Background in interiors, upholstery, or trim Background in custom or low volume specialty manufacturing Experience implementing standard work or quality gate systems Compensation & Structure Full-time position with benefits, paid time off, and advancement opportunities within the Fat Fender Garage team
