We're on the hunt for a full-time upholsterer with serious skills and a skill for upholstering. You'll play a key role in our upholstery team, working on custom pieces that demand precision, creativity, and an eye for detail. If you've got experience in furniture restoration, fabric application, and techniques like 8-way hand tying, we want to see what you can do. Bonus points if you're handy with sewing machines, power tools, and a good sense of humor. Key Responsibilities Restore and upholster high-end furniture pieces to exacting standards Perform 8-way hand tying (preferred) and other advanced upholstery techniques Cut, sew, and apply fabric with precision and attention to detail Repair frames, replace springs, and install padding and webbing Maintain tools, workspace, and materials in clean working order Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of professional upholstery experience (preferably in high-end or custom furniture) Proficiency in 8-way hand tying preferred but not required(a must-have for traditional luxury seating) Skilled in furniture restoration and frame repair (including re-webbing, spring replacement, and padding) Expertise in fabric application (cutting, pattern matching, sewing, and fitting) Ability to operate industrial sewing machines (straight stitch, zigzag, serger, etc.) Comfortable using hand tools and power tools (staple guns, tack hammers, foam cutters, etc.) Knowledge of upholstery materials (foam densities, batting, muslin, down/feather fills, etc.) Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship (clean seams, tight corners, and flawless finishes) Physical stamina and dexterity (lifting heavy furniture, standing for long periods, precise handwork) Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace
