Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking skilled Upholstery Technicians specializing in Acoustical panels to join our manufacturing team in Ocala, Florida. Day shift! Starting pay $19-$20/hr + benefits kick in right away! Medical, Dental, Vision In this role, you will be responsible for the precise assembly, repair, and finishing of acoustical panel upholstery, ensuring that each product meets high standards of quality and functionality. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, excellent manual dexterity, and a comprehensive understanding of upholstery techniques, fabric materials, and technical specifications. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to innovative acoustic solutions used in a variety of commercial and residential environments. Duties Interpret blueprint specifications and technical drawings to accurately assemble acoustical panels according to design requirements. Cut fabric materials manually with precision using cutting tools to ensure proper fit and finish. Upholster panels with various fabric materials, applying appropriate techniques for durability and aesthetic appeal. Use hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and sewing machines to assemble components securely. Repair and maintain upholstery on acoustical panels, addressing issues such as fabric tears or foam deterioration. Handle heavy lifting safely during the transportation and installation of large or bulky panels. Conduct quality inspections to ensure upholstery work meets specified standards for appearance and durability. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols related to manual handling and tool operation. Experience Proven experience in upholstery work, acoustical or similar panels preferred. Strong knowledge of upholstery techniques including reupholstering, fabric cutting, and repair procedures. Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specification documents. Hands-on experience with manual cutting tools, power tools, and/or pneumatic tools. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during manufacturing or installation processes. Knowledge of different fabric materials such as textiles used in acoustic panel applications. Experience in manufacturing environments preferred. Attention to detail combined with excellent manual handling skills ensures high-quality craftsmanship.
