Position Overview:
Hell's Bay Boatworks is looking for dependable, motivated individuals to join our Production Team. You will be part of a skilled group responsible for laminating, assembling, fitting, and installing various components to construct The World's Finest Shallow Water Skiffs.
Required:
Ability to read/hear, interpret and/or understand instructions given verbally or written and exchange accurate information with others. Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of times. Ability to regularly bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, reach, climb, and lift or move up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Must follow all safety standards and procedures. Must have reliable transportation Hell's Bay Boatworks is a Drug Free Workplace and pre-employment drug screening is required.
Preferred:
Experience in the marine manufacturing or service industry Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude and proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to unexpected challenges. Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and quality. Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with other team members. Physical dexterity and the ability to perform tasks that may involve bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods. Must have basic reading comprehension and writing skills, be able to work from verbal and written instructions Working environment: Production area is not climate controlled. Temperature and humidity fluctuates with outside environmental conditions, such as air temperature, radiant heat from sunlight, air movement, and humidity levels. Noise level is moderate with intervals of spikes Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, resins, fiberglass dust & cloths, epoxy, composites, and other chemicals.
Work schedule:
Tuesday-Friday 6:00AM-4:30PM. Overtime as required. Most processes involved drilling, fastening, cutting, caulking, gluing, painting, etc. that skills from other professions are related to.
