As a family-owned business, we take pride in our craft and in the experienced team behind it. We are looking for an experienced Dry Cleaner and Spotter to join our production team. This is a skilled position focused on specialty garment care, advanced spotting and stain removal, delicate and high-value garments, and wedding gown cleaning and preservation. The ideal candidate has extensive experience working with challenging stains, delicate fabrics, specialty garments, and multiple cleaning methods. This person must have excellent judgment and understand when a garment requires special handling, testing, or an alternative cleaning process. Key Responsibilities Perform advanced spotting and stain removal on garments using appropriate professional techniques and chemicals Evaluate stains, fabrics, dyes, trims, embellishments, and construction before treatment Determine the safest and most effective cleaning method for delicate, specialty, couture, and high-value garments Operate dry cleaning and wet cleaning equipment and select appropriate cleaning cycles based on garment requirements Review and interpret garment care labels, customer notes, and special cleaning instructions Clean and process wedding gowns, including delicate fabrics, lace, beading, embellishments, trains, and specialty construction Assist with wedding gown preservation and preparation for long-term storage Conduct detailed inspections before and after cleaning to identify stains, damage, loose embellishments, color issues, or other concerns Document garments that may require additional attention or customer approval before cleaning Maintain a consistently high standard of quality before garments move to pressing, finishing, or packaging Handle designer, couture, sentimental, and high-value garments with exceptional care Maintain a clean and organized spotting and cleaning work area Work closely with cleaners, pressers, inspectors, and management to maintain an efficient production flow Assist with pressing, finishing, garment inspection, and other production responsibilities when needed Requirements Minimum 2 years of professional dry cleaning and spotting experience required Strong knowledge of advanced spotting and stain removal techniques Experience identifying and treating oil-based, water-based, protein, tannin, dye, ink, and other difficult stains Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, dyes, trims, and care requirements Experience with dry cleaning and wet cleaning processes Ability to safely work with delicate and high-value garments Wedding gown cleaning or preservation experience strongly preferred Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to recognize potential risks before cleaning or stain treatment Ability to work independently and make sound garment-care decisions Dependable, organized, and team-oriented Ability to work efficiently in a production environment without sacrificing quality Experience with pressing, finishing, and final garment inspection is a plus Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus What We're Looking For This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in garment care and enjoys solving difficult cleaning and stain-removal challenges.
