We are seeking a Sample Sewer to assist in our Pre-production and Product Development department. This position is responsible for organization, sewing, and pattern making for high quality prototypes and pre-production samples. In this position, we will provide the insight and knowledge of how to make best-in-class products for the world's best tactical and outdoor gear companies while you support our growth and business opportunities.

Responsibilities:

Produce high quality prototypes and/or new designs for presentation to customer Provide added-value input into design and construction methods Break out finished product into patterns, bill of materials, and sequence of sewing operations Assist in the construction and assembly of short run manufacturing projects and sample sewing Organize project folders and golden sample library Assist with creation and production of sewing instructions when needed. Participate in the initial phases of production to assure smooth transition of new products into high volume production Maintain the high quality standards of the company

Education and Experience Requirements:

GED or HS diploma preferred Minimum 1 year industrial sewing and/or pattern making experience in a manufacturing environment Experience in producing items in any of the following areas preferred: Luggage Tactical Gear Outdoor Gear Strong technical sewing ability required Experience with lockstitch, walking foot, bartack, etc. required Strong problem-solving skills as it pertains to prototype development and construction

$35,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
