Job Description:

An aircraft upholstery job involves fabricating, repairing, and installing interior components like seats, carpets, and headliners, following strict safety and design specifications. This role requires skills in pattern-making, cutting, sewing, and installing specialized aviation-grade materials like leather and vinyl. Key qualifications include manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work from blueprints and meet FAA regulations. Responsibilities Fabrication and repair: Pattern, cut, sew, and install various upholstery materials for seats, side panels, headliners, and carpets.

Removal and installation:

Remove old upholstery and install new covers, including working with and installing seats, according to design specifications.

Material handling:

Work with a wide range of materials, including leather, vinyl, and fabric, as well as composites and padding.

Technical tasks:

Use specialized tools like commercial sewing machines, staple guns, and adhesives.

Quality and safety:

Ensure all work meets aviation safety standards, fire resistance, and client specifications.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate and concise records of all work completed.
