Full-Time Seamster / Industrial Sewer Wanted - Custom Upholstery Shop (Wheeling, IL) Albo Restoration, a custom upholstery shop specializing in cars, boats, airplanes, & furniture upholstery in Wheeling, is seeking a skilled and experienced Full-Time Seamster / Industrial Sewer to join our team. If you have a sharp eye for detail, experience working with heavy fabrics, and a passion for quality craftsmanship, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

Operate industrial sewing machines to sew heavy-duty fabrics, leathers, and vinyls for cars, boats, airplanes, and furniture upholstery. Pattern, cut, and match fabrics accurately Work closely with our upholstery team to ensure precise fit and finish on all pieces. Inspect finished products to maintain our high standards of quality and restoration excellence.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a seamster, tailor, or industrial sewer (upholstery experience is a major plus). Proficiency with industrial sewing machines and walking-foot machines. Ability to work with thick, heavy materials and multi-layered fabrics. High attention to detail, precision, and efficiency. Reliable, local, and able to commute to our shop in Wheeling.
