Best Home Furnishings is a family-owned company and one of the nation's leading and growing manufacturers of residential upholstered furniture. Best has been industry recognized for its leading special-order, fast-delivery business model and is celebrating over 60 years of business success. This candidate will be a key individual in producing our beautiful products in a timely fashion for our customer base. We are seeking highly motivated individuals who excel in a piecework environment. Chair/Recliner Upholsterer Reports to:
Upholstery Supervisor Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
Use staple guns and hand tools to attach upholstery fabric and padding to wooden frames. Secure buttons, trim and adjust fabric, fold pleats, and attach skirts as required. Hammer tack strips using appropriate hand tools. Move products from the conveyor to the upholstery workbench and return completed products to the conveyor. Learn model numbers and identify the components required for each model. Review upholstery tags to ensure the correct fabric and color are applied to the appropriate frame. Maintain quality and productivity standards while following established work instructions. Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Ability to perform repetitive pulling, pinching, gripping, and other hand movements using both hands. Ability to maintain a consistent work pace in a fast-paced production environment. Ability to recognize defective fabric, color variations, or other fabric inconsistencies. Ability to work scheduled hours on a regular basis, including overtime as production needs require. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to follow quality standards, safety practices, and work instructions. Willingness to cross-train on other jobs or production lines as needed.
Lifting Requirements:
Up to 80 lbs. maximum; 45 lbs. frequently.

Day Shift 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Weekends as needed Overtime as needed
