JUNIOR TECHNICIAN

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a motivated and skilled junior technician to join our growing team at IR Auto Solutions. This role is critical for delivering the high-quality installations our customers expect and maintaining the standard of excellence we're known for.

OBJECTIVE

The junior technician will support our installation team in executing aftermarket product applications on vehicles. This includes preparing surfaces, applying products accurately, and ensuring a flawless finish. In this role, success will be measured by the quality of workmanship, installation efficiency, and overall contribution to team goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in the installation of automotive surface protection products (e.g., vinyl wraps, ceramic coatings, and window films). Prepare vehicles for installation by cleaning and prepping surfaces. Follow the detailed installation guidelines to ensure quality and consistency. Work closely with senior technicians to learn advanced techniques and processes. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures. Participate in ongoing training and development programs. Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Our ideal junior technician candidate will have the following educational qualifications and work experience: Preferred experience in automotive detailing, tinting, wrapping, or a related field. Candidates with experience in the surface preparation and application of protective coatings will be given priority. Demonstrated knowledge of different types of automotive aftermarket products, including but not limited to vinyl wraps, ceramic coatings, and window films. Familiarity with the tools, equipment, and techniques used in the automotive styling and protection industry. A proven track record of attention to detail and craftsmanship in previous roles. Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where quality and customer satisfaction are the priorities.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Basic knowledge of automotive styling and protection products. Familiarity with tools and equipment used in automotive detailing and installations. Ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently under supervision. Problem-solving skills to address challenges during installations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Stamina:

The capacity to maintain a high level of physical activity and focus throughout the workday. This includes the stamina to stand, bend, and move within the workshop setting for extended periods without diminishing quality of work.

Manual Dexterity and Coordination:

Advanced hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills to handle detailed work accurately, such as applying films and coatings with precision.

Strength and Mobility:

The physical strength to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy objects and materials up to 50 pounds regularly. Mobility is crucial for reaching, kneeling, and crouching to access all areas of vehicles during the installation process.

Sensory Abilities:

Good vision, including depth perception and the ability to distinguish colors, is essential for accurately applying materials and assessing the quality of installations. Hearing and speech are important for effective communication within the noisy environment of a workshop.
