Job Description

Overview:
Fairfield Chair is looking for experienced sewer for our repair team. This is an hourly sewing position that will work closely with the sewing department to correct any mistakes in the sewing process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operates a sewing machine to sew upholstery pieces Follows sewing standards Must be able to read and understand sewing specs Must be able to read and understand production tickets to sew pieces to customer specifications Must be able to match thread color to fabric color Must be able to work as part of a team
Qualifications:
High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality Effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines Effective organizational, stress and time management skills Results and deadline-oriented, ability to prioritize and multitask Thrives in a changing and dynamic environment
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting Able to lift 50 pounds, occasionally Available to work weekends or overtime as needed Regularly use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects
